Dr. Jerry Floyd is a family physician and primary care doctor who works with Saint Francis Medical Partners. He treats patients, from age 7 and up, in Millington and Greater Tennessee. Originally from Palatka, Florida, Dr. Floyd is the beneficiary of an international educational career. He received degrees from both St. John’s River Community College in Palatka, Florida and Georgia Southern College in Statesboro, Georgia. He then attended medical school at Benito Juarez-Abraham Lincoln Escuela de Medicina in Mexico and Spartan Health Sciences University in Bieux Fort, Saint Lucia, where he completed his medical degree. Dr. Floyd attended the University of Tennessee Healthplex Program to complete his residency in family practice.
When he is not treating patients, Dr. Floyd enjoys tennis, chess, travel, and spending time with his family. He is married to Frances Floyd and has one child.

I like the fact that Dr. Floyd talks to me and not at me. He asked me questions and listened intently as I answered. He also told me what he thought was best but listened to my questions and concerns without judgment (he did not expect me to know what it all meant. He answered my questions and explained why his suggestions what they were. I also like the scribe (not sure it that is what her position is called) in the room. I noticed that freed up time for the doctor to spend the entire time with me.

Dr. Floyd has been my health care partner in diagnosing and managing my rare condition with treatment in Tampa, Florida. Yep, Tampa as opposed to Memphis. Today was a follow up with him post surgery. So glad to have a doctor who was able to determine what was wrong (condition is hard to diagnose) and know the best treatment option for me. Regardless of your issue, the same consideration will be shown.
