About Me
My name is Heather Jerrard and I'm a photography addict!!! I love photographing all things equine and canine related and during the winter months I can often be found out with the Mid Devon Hunt, following on foot with my camera. I have always been a keen photographer and got my first digital camera about 10 years ago. I have upgraded over the years and now use a Canon 7D with a Canon 60D as a back up.

I grew up in Surrey and was a keen member of the Warlingham pony club. I hunted with the Old Surrey and Burstow as well as competing in show jumping and hunter trials. My pony was a Welsh section B x Arab chestnut mare called Farah who I loved dearly. We were both speed freaks and the faster we went and the higher we jumped the happier we were.

On leaving school I decided to make horses my career and went to work on a mixed showing yard of show ponies, show hunters, cobs, hacks and show jumpers. In those days I lived for shows and the summer months were spent travelling the county show circuit with the season always ending at HOYS at Wembley. I was fortunate to work on a very successful yard with some lovely horses and ponies in my care. Many good times were had on the show circuit and I can honestly say they were some of the happiest days of my life.


My first love has always been show ponies and I have a real interest in bloodlines and breeding. Much as I would love to be a show pony breeder, I realise that I would be useless as when it comes to selling ponies I'm a total wimp!!


My other love is dogs, especially Boxers. My first Boxer, Rose chose me as her owner when I was 18 and I haven't been without one since then. I absolutely love their craziness, adorable kind natures and soft scrunchy faces. They can always put a smile on my face.


Some of the other things I love apart from photography, ponies and dogs are chocolate, ice cream, thick socks, big warm jumpers, snow and blazing log fires.


Some big dislikes are custard, spiders, dentists, animal cruelty, lemon curd and know all's
