I ordered a flight of beer here and every one had a unique and delicious flavor. I went Sunday for lunch and had my flight with some food from the food truck that stays on the premises. The bartender was very kind and allowed me my privacy but also happily answered any questions I had. The outside area looked tidy but I stayed indoors where it was very spacious. I was able to enjoy my beer in peace. Would recommend the PBJ stout despite not being a huge fan of dark beer.

Popped in for a quick flight of beer at good people after walking around railroad park and I'm glad we did! The bartenders were attentive and gave great suggestions as to what to try.
The beer itself was cold and very tasty. I recommend trying their sour beer if you like almond and cherry flavor. It wasn't overtly sweet and had a great tartness to it.
The brewery is also dog friendly, has a food truck, and outdoor seating. I would not mind stopping by again next time I'm in Birmingham. Cheers!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Jul 28, 2023
Where do I begin with Good People? Their location is impeccable, being right across from Regions Field and the park. Their taproom is large and inviting, as is the porch and courtyard. Even if you don't drink or like beer this is a great place to meet friends and enjoy company.
What continues to bring me back is their selection of beers! Since they opened in 2008, claiming to be the original craft brewery in the state, they have steadily introduced regular drinks and seasonal favorites. I have enjoyed and would get again almost every beer that I have tried here. Their standard IPA is very solid, but I'd be remiss if I failed to mention the snake handler or hitchhiker IPAs. I am glad they have brought back the coffee oatmeal stout, but be on the lookout for the chocolate peanut better stout (taproom only according to their website). And I like what they are doing with the Funk Farm beers, especially the cherry almond sour, which pours and tastes like wine (probably what Lloyd was referring to in "Dumb and Dumber").
Needless to say, this is my personal favorite brewery! See the standard for Alabama brewing yourself!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Morgan C.McCalla, AL052Jan 12, 2024
My favorite brewery hands down, it's huge with a lot of space, love the location it's at in Birmingham, during baseball season my girlfriend and I will stop here first and pre game before we go to the barons game since it's across the street , they also sell really cool shirts hats and hoodies.

A DIFFERENT BEER-SPECTIVE!
After leaving Monday Night Brewing Friday night, we wanted to stay out a little longer. I guess you can say we were brewery hopping last night. I knew that Good People Brewing was around the same area, but did not realize just how close it was to Monday Night Brews.
Birmingham I like to consider a brewery lover's paradise. There are so many to choose from. Everything from themed breweries, to more classy ones Bham has one for everyone. Good People Brewing is located right across the street from Regions Field so I am sure that they receive a great crowd when there are games being played.
My personal favorites so far have been Ghost Train and Birmingham District Brewing, but I am always open to trying new ones. Each of the breweries in town has their own twang and dedicated following.
Good People Brewing I like to consider a much classier brewery. Compared to Monday Night, this brewery is a much calmer and quiet vibe to it. Monday Night is much more of a bar scene, rather than a brewery. But I am sure that Monday Night has their quieter days too. At Good People there is a beautiful outside space with stringed lights and many many tables. A food truck is usually parked outside the brewery too which was a god send for us as we starving by the time we arrived (got a little lost walking from Monday Night). The Hot Box food truck defiantly fits the vibes of Good People Brewing. Bar food, with a twist!
Their menu is broken down into lights/lagers, stouts/hops and finally they also offer a few different mixed cocktails too. I decided on the Blueberry seltzer. Not only did this drink have a gorgeous color to it; but it also had an amazing aroma. Smelled like freshly picked blueberries. It was bubbly, light and fresh tasting, what more could you ask for?
When we came inside we noticed how big of a space this brewery is. There were gorgeous leather couches and beautiful light fixtures all around the brewery too which fit right into the theme. I have noticed that a lot of the breweries around have a merch table for all of their loyal fans to pick up a shirt or a growler. I am sure it makes a killing when the tourists are in town.
The first thing we noticed off the bat when coming inside is that this is a dog friendly brewery. Lots of them are around here. But on this night in particular the Shelby County Humane Society was there. Such a great experience but the dogs dressed up in their Halloween costumes was an added plus.
I will be back to Good People Brewing for sure. Wonderful people, classy environment and delicious drinks.Helpful 9Thanks 0Love this 7Oh no 0 - May 4, 2023
I don't drink beer, but this is always a fun place to come with friends! They have both an outdoor and indoor area. They host fun events from time to time here too. The comedy shows are pretty nice. Good People is also walking distance from Region's field so it's a great place to come before or after the Baron's games.

Always a great time. El Gordo day is great. Struggle sometimes with beer selection be nice if there where not all of the same genre at times during regularly operation or have some more style offerings. If I am being picky. However, it's still great. We love going before baseball games. Staff is friendly and attentive

This is a very cool spot and the location is priceless. This was my first time here and it was nice I must say. It's located in large warehouse and the old docking bay they turned into a patio which is where I sat and enjoyed my IPA beer. It's right across the street from the Barons baseball stadium and next door to a Chicago pizza joint that frequented recently. They're supposed to do a complete redevelopment of the area but I haven't seen much of anything as of yet but can't wait to see how everything turns out.
