The Dons' Wood-Fired Pizza

Great pizza that comes out fast! Say goodbye to Domino's or Pizza Hut if you live in Sterling because The Dons' blows them out of the water. Pizza comes out within 5 minutes of ordering, I saw them put it in their pizza oven. I recommend bringing your own drink because you have to go up to the counter every time you want a refill for both water and sodas.

I got a medium pizza with meatballs and sausage - the two tasted pretty similar but I can't complain. Pizza itself tasted great, light and doughy with gooey cheese. My girlfriend got a Vegetariana and they were much more hefty with the toppings on her pizza. Seems like ordering one of the pre-built pizzas is the way to go.

I'm not in the area often but The Dons' will definitely be on my radar when I am! If you're tired of the same old pizza chains or frozen pizza, treat yourself to The Dons'

After having been to multiple mom and pop pizza shops this stands out as one of the better of the pack.

I had their Marguerita pizza. The sauce was good, the ingredients fresh and the crust was alright. 4.5 stars

Great, wholesome pizza with great taste! I ordered the family size one (largest) and add 4-5 toppings of whatever, I added pepperoni, chicken sausage, mushrooms, green pepper and I think spinach. Came out really well! Whole family enjoyed it.

Would recommend coming here, and will likely be back. Only minus is the prices are somewhat expensive, but the pizza has a unique taste much different from PJs or dominos etc. so I can def appreciate the authentic taste of the pizza here. Do check it out!

My local go to place for pizza. The crust is spot on crispy with the right amount of char and the toppings are fresh and delicious.

Arrived Friday night and it was pretty empty. The atmosphere was nice. Had a lot of pictures on the wall of famous athletes. There were a few people but not full and plenty of room to sit outside and inside. Location was tricky but plenty of parking everywhere.

We ordered a Caesar salad and two pizzas (one white and one red). The Caesar salad was great, however, little on the oily side. The white pizza was great. Good flavors from the cheeses. The margheritta pizza was alright but I've had better . The sauce was on the acidic side and the cheese was not tasty. Tasted old and not fresh. No way does it compare to traditional margarita pizza.

Service was good. Pizza came quick and server was pleasant. One of the staff was off putting with unfriendly attitude. When I asked for a refill her face reacted like I had punched her in the gut.

Overall, good place just be careful what you order. I would recommend if you're in the area but not a place to trek. We also had the chocolate cake and although I didn't take a picture, it just wasn't what I expected.

Their fire wood oven pizza surpasses any Pizza delivery service out there! Sandwiches, and specially salads are large and worth the time to pick up and bring home for dinner. Clean dining atmosphere and friendly staff. You won't regret trying this place out. It'll be one of your favorites.

Stopped here after a farmers market trip to get a quick snack/bite before the ride back home. It gave me mom and pop pizza shop vibes. The staff was very friendly. I dodder a create your own calzone and it tasted amazing. As a cheese lover, I always get extra cheese on anything I can and i must say they did not disappoint. The pizza slice was loaded with toppings. I would definitely come back to try a custom pizza next time.

Love the staff, the food, and the value! This is definitely a regular place for us. We have never had a bad visit there.

Such a great place for a quick dinner or even for some takeout pizza! They have a wide variety of toppings so even though their pizza is great on its own, you can easily customize to your liking.
However, the toppings are pretty pricey ($3-4 per topping) so I recommend using coupons whenever they come around! We got a coupon just for ordering online.
We also had an incident where they lost our order so they made up for it by pledging to give us 3 free toppings the next time - which they thankfully honored.
Gets pretty crowded so I don't recommend dining in, but service is great and the pizza is great for takeout as well!

Pizza was good and had a nice crust to it. It seemed smaller than I imagined and was a bit pricey for the size but it tasted good. It was also a bit cold by the time I got home (30 min drive) but that is my own fault. Would probably taste even better if I ate it at the restaurant.
