I was referred to this therapist after contacting an employer CONCERN/EAP program. In 2008, I saw her for grief counseling following the death of someone close to me. I didn't find her very helpful for that, nor did I feel it was necessarily a specialty of hers. Of course, talk extends into my personal family, etc. And she proceeded to out-and-out scold me about the handling of some issues with my child. It was horrible - agree or disagree with her (and I think many would disagree, me included) - a therapist's job is not to tell you what to do, but to listen and guide. I went one more time just in case I had been too sensitive or overreacted, and it was more of the same. So, on top of grief, I was dealing with feelings of anger and betrayal.
