The justices close the door on the March argument cycle this morning. On tap is the second of two closely watched partisan gerrymander challenges. Could Mayer Brown’s Michael Kimberly give the justices the answer in their search for a constitutional standard for redistricting? SCOTUS advocates turned out in force to cheer David Frederick of Kellogg, Hansen,Todd, Figel & Frederick, as he celebrated his 50th high court argument. There was no red carpet, but lots of good will. And we look at an amicus brief—from UCLA Law School prof Richard Re—that got a lot of attention during an argument Tuesday.
