Frank L. Martin, Sr., 80, passed away May 31, 2012. Funeral service will be 12 noon, Mon., June 4, at Floral Hills. Burial will follow. Friends may call at the chapel from 4-6 p.m. on Sunday. He was a lifelong Northeast Kansas City resident. Frank was a Korean War veteran and belonged to the V.F.W. of Sugar Creek. He retired from Armco Steel and was a member of Local #13 Steelworkers. He was preceded in death by his parents, Michael Kenneth and Carrie Ellen, as well as 2 brothers, Robert and Jerry; and 2 sisters, Dorothy and Ilene. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Betty A.; one son and his wife, Frank and Cheri; 3 grandchildren, Anthony, Janie and Tyler; 2 great-grandchildren, Brianna and Cali; 2 sisters, Betty Price and Mayola Haines, all from the Kansas City Metro area.
