Dr. Medrano was born in Mexico City but was raised in Houston, Texas, after arriving here as a young boy. He completed his undergraduate studies at Rice University and then moved to Philadephia to complete his medical degree at Temple University School of Medicine.
He completed his Internal Medicine and Pediatrics residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, serving as chief resident his final year. Dr. Medrano has been practicing medicine in the Memorial area since 2005.
Dr. Medrano's clinical areas of interest include inpatient medicine, management of acute and chronic disease and general internal medicine management.

Kind, patient, intelligent, knowledgeable., personable, Dr. Mendrano is the most kind hearted person! I say person instead of doctor because he treats you like a person, not a patient. He involves you like you are a team figuring out together what you need. Dr Medrano truly cares about people. He, himself has called me back, instead of his staff, on multiple occasions. His staff is also amazing! I have seen MANY doctors, and am Extremely picky. Dr. Medrano is simply the best!
