  • Patent number: 9995508
Abstract: A system for flameless heating of a fluid includes a hydraulic pump having an input shaft and a rotational power source coupled in torque-transmitting relationship with the input shaft of the hydraulic pump. A hydraulic fluid circuit is in fluid connection with an inlet port and an outlet port of the hydraulic pump. A water heat exchanger having a tank provided with water from a water source and a conduit provided with heated fluid from at least one of the hydraulic pump and the power source is arranged such that heat is transferred from the heated fluid in the conduit to the water in the tank. In one example, at least one valve in the hydraulic fluid circuit selectively limits output flow from the outlet port of the hydraulic pump, thereby providing resistance to pumping motion and heating the hydraulic fluid in the hydraulic pump.

  • Patent number: 9915299
Abstract: A hydrostatic clutch system for dually charging the accumulators while speeding up and slowing down. The hydrostatic clutch system includes a hydraulic pump having a pump housing with openings therein; a manifold/end cover; and a fluid circuit assembly in operable communication with the hydraulic pump. The hydrostatic clutch system may be used with at least one transmission or gear set in operable communication with the hydrostatic clutch. The hydrostatic clutch system may be used to create a variable speed from a fixed input speed. The hydrostatic clutch system may also be used as a hybrid system by changing the pump into a motor for launch and for powering the vehicle with the engine disconnected using accumulated hydraulic pressure. The hydrostatic clutch system captures the resistance of the weight of the vehicle in order to make power while the vehicle is accelerating.

  • Patent number: 8517888
Abstract: A mechanical power transmission system for transforming and delivering power effectively and efficiently using external pressure to propel a vehicle. The mechanical power transmission system includes a case; rotational members; a gear set being in operable communication to at least one of the rotational members; and a clutch system being in operable communication to the gear set and using external fluid pressure from a fluid source to effectively change speeds.

  • Patent number: 7824290
Abstract: Rotational power distribution and control systems and components thereof along with related methods are disclosed. The rotational power distribution and control system may, for example, be operable to function similarly to a typical automotive manual clutch. Other embodiments of the rotational power distribution and control system may function as continuously or infinitely variable transmissions. Still further embodiments of the rotational power distribution and control system may function as hybrid drive systems for various types of vehicles, including automobiles, trucks and busses. The rotational power distribution and control system includes at least one hydrostatic pump/motor and a rotational power dividing apparatus.

  • Publication number: 20040099074
Abstract: A torque reversing apparatus which is positioned within the drive train of a circle track race car. The torque reverser is made up of a centrally located gear housing which is most commonly attached to the rear end of the race car's transmission. The forward surface of the gear housing allows for the introduction of the transmission's output shaft which is in turn fixedly attached to the drive gear. The drive gear in turn is meshed with the output gear which is mounted within the gear housing on the same plane as the drive gear. The output gear is in turn fixedly attached to the output shaft of the gear housing which then exits out the rear housing cover where it makes the connection with the drive shaft. Thus, the clockwise rotation of the engine is transformed to a counter clockwise rotation behind the present invention moving the effects of the torque from predominantly being applied to the right side of the vehicle to the left.

  • Patent number: 6182780
Abstract: A multiple wheel drive assembly including front and wheel axles and four independent gear boxes one for each wheel axle and two intermediate gear boxes each of which is connected to a pair of front and rear wheel axle gear boxes. Each of the gear boxes has a ring gear disposed therein and is capable of effectively reducing the inputted rpms up to eight times and also allows the user to easily adjust the wheel bases to any width and length without having to effect the gear boxes including the ring gears. Each pair of front and rear wheel axles are actuated independently of one another.

  • Patent number: 6022083
Abstract: A skid steer wheel mechanism including wheel axles rotatably disposed through axle housings which are securely mounted to the body or frame of the skid steer, and also including hub members which are cylinders with annular flanges centrally-disposed about the circumference of the hub members, and which is balanced upon pairs of bearings to equally distribute the weight and substantially abnormal wear to the bearings during the use thereof, each pair of bearings being spaced-apart inside the cylinder. The hub members are coupled to the wheel axles with disc-shaped coupler members having an internally-splined slot centrally-disposed in one side thereof and being adapted to receivably engage an end portion of the wheel axle.

  • Patent number: 5910190
Abstract: The transmission and clutch assembly including a conventional casing, a slidable input shaft directly engageable to the drive member for high gear, and further including an output shaft which is rotatably engaged in the open end of the input shaft, and further including a countershaft for change speed mode and reverse speed, a reverse speed shaft, a clutch housing, a clutch shaft connected to the clutch housing, a pair of pressure members, and a throw-out bearing for change speed mode including reverse speed. This transmission and clutch assembly does not use any internal oil pressure to effect changing of gears and substantially reduces the rotating weight of the transmission when the vehicle is in high gear, because the clutch housing, clutch shaft, input gear and pressure members do not rotate when the transmission is in direct drive speed mode unlike other known transmissions.

  • Patent number: 5732595
Abstract: A slidable transmission shaft for a manual transmission includes a plurality of closely-spaced splines at a second end, a first plurality of keys at a first end, which are slidably engagable to an impeller fastened to the crankshaft of a motor vehicle for high gear, and a second plurality of keys spaced from the first plurality of keys and which are slidably engagable to a clutch for low gear. This slidable transmission shaft can also achieve reverse by sliding into a position where neither of the plurality of keys are engaged.
