Punitive work place

There was no cross training, no open communication, and no transparency. The residents are amazing people! Upper management doesn’t support the staff.

Excellent company to work for.

As I long time employee I'm excited with where the new President and CEO is taking the organization. I now enjoy coming to work every day. And the benefits, wow!

Work Culture of Teamwork

As a Service Coordinator, a typical day in the community involves working with residents to assist them with social services & community supports to help them safely age in place. The workplace culture is one of teamwork and collaboration. Teamwork makes the dream work here. Our leadership has a vision for the future that will help ensure affordable housing for those in need.

Fun and great work environment!

Although I am fairly new, my time with EHDOC has been wonderful. My coworkers are very nice and helpful. The new CEO is so genuine and deeply cares about her employees. She wants to make sure everyone feels valuable and happy. If you are a hard worker and you have the burning passion to reach the top you can do so here in this company. Many people here have been here for a very long time, which says something. They are growing everyday and expanding! Amazing benefits, actually very unheard of benefits! Pension, Fully paid Healthcare for you and your family, amongst many more! All Holidays off! I will make sure that I work so hard to make everyone proud and I will achieve my goals at my company. I am proud to be part of the EHDOC family! I am happy here.

Rewarding

I love assisting the seniors with anything and everything I can. Ehdoc is a great company, they’re small but they really do seem to care about the employees. I only wish they expanding their properties to more states. Most of the properties are in Florida.

Not for everyone but if learn fast it can be a steady job

A typical day at work was dependent on the time of the month. I learned a lot about how accounting works in the real world instead of what they taught in school or what you would learn in a typical public accounting firm. The management seemed like it was constantly in flux during the 6 years I worked there. The workplace culture was a little hypocritical. The hardest part of the job was having to learn and adapt to how new bosses/managers want things done. The most enjoyable part of the job was knowing at the end of the day that you helped provide affordable housing for the elderly who otherwise would not be able to afford to live on their own.

Pros

Excelent healthcare, bank holidays off

Cons

No career advancement, restriction on vacation days allowed

Very professional atmosphere

Managed 52 low-income, government subsidized housing projects. Including finance and re-finance of properties across the country, and Puerto Rico.

Great people to work with

Great place to work with lots of benefits. Small problem is there isn't much advancement. Stuck where you are. People there are nice. Mostly stressed out from the amount of work they ask you to do which is difficult for one person. People up top occasionally have bad temper that carries out throughout the company.

Pros

Benefits

Cons

Overworked. Workload increased dramatically

Upper Management non supportive

One of the worst job experiences I have had. Upper management was not supportive and non helping. Continue to pile on tasks without clear explanation or help with getting the work completed. When I hired in I was constantly trying to get all the work and correct mistakes from past management. Some of the staff were not team players. Very hostile work environment. The hardest part was trying to meet deadlines while trying to play catch up with all the past incomplete work. The most enjoyable part was leaving at 5PM.

Pros

Nice salary

Cons

Upper management was not supportive in any way shape or form.

Good place to work

A good place to work, benefits are great and its a union position. The work hour and staff here works as a team. The only problem the pay is low but with the benefits package its pays off at the end. You always have support if needed. They believe in helping the elderly by giving them all the support they need to stay independently living in their apartment. The agency provides an education on health and wellness workshops which includes monthly guest speakers, assist in finding the right health care providers and medical needs. Help with transportation, food service and any other social needs of the residents.

Pros

Great benifits

Cons

Low pay

Great Place to work

Excellent Co-Workers. Pretty much in charge of helping everyone at that office as well as people calling in. Most days go smooth as I am able to do many things at once. The hardest part would be sometimes there is way too much to do and so little time.

Pros

Great benefits, Paid holidays

Cons

Not many chances to be promoted
