Mr. James Eddie Gaddis, age 80, of Hermleigh, died Tuesday morning at his residence. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 7, 2014, in the Kiker-Seale Chapel. Burial will follow in the Westbrook Cemetery under the care and direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.

Mrs. Gaddis was born February 17, 1934 in Wolfe City, Texas to James and Queen Victoria McBroom Gaddis. He married Lola Christine Tutwiler on October 24, 1953 in Colorado City. He was a retired heavy equipment operator.

He is survived by his wife, Lola Gaddis of Hermleigh; 2 daughters: Carolyn Kinney of Denton and Trina and husband, Toby Wright of Hermleigh; 3 sons: Charles Gaddis of Hermleigh, Robert and wife, Teresa Gaddis of Midland and Jimmy and wife, Shirley Gaddis of San Angelo; a sister, Ruby Kelly of Arkansas; 12 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, 2 sons: James Gaddis, Jr. and Lyndon Gaddis; a daughter, Frances White; 2 brothers: Loyd Gaddis and Leroy Gaddis and a son-in-law, Al Kinney, Jr.
