Campaign themes

2016

The following issues were listed on Stapley's campaign website. For a full list of campaign themes, click here.

  • A strong America makes the world a better place: We need an effective, well-trained military. The goal of our foreign policy should be that our friends trust us, our enemies fear us, and that our interests are protected. Threats like ISIS grow when we put our head in the sand and withdraw from the world.
  • Economic strength: Jobs and prosperity for all are created when we create opportunity and remove barriers. I will vote for tax and regulatory policies that promote growth. Growth is the answer to America’s fiscal woes.
  • Immigration that works for America: We need to protect our borders and stop illegal immigration. We need to fix legal immigration so that it works well, and is a force for good in our economy.
  • Freedom and Respect: We need to respect individual rights, especially those enshrined in the Bill of Rights, and the rights of the unborn. As a leader I will promote a culture of respect for all. Nothing has created more prosperity and peace in the history of the world than when free and law-abiding people are able to pursue their own vision of happiness.
