I started working with Debbie Toney in 2018 when my wife and I started our search to buy our first home in the Jersey City, Hoboken, and Union City area. I look back and can't believe we were put in contact through Trulia, randomly, as she turned out to be such a great agent and just a wonderful person to work with. She took the time to get to know us and offered great advice throughout the process. Oh, and that process took about two years. Debbie never wavered and stuck by our side. She kept on the hunt with us - showing us places, doing research, and finding answers on prospective properties whenever asked, and I asked quite a bit. In our case we saw a home we absolutely loved about eight months into the process. The seller of the home proved difficult to work with and ended up renting the property. We constantly compared everything we saw after that to that property. So Debbie stayed in contact with the sellers the entire time and eventually got us into negotiations on the property we loved. The negotiations were long and the seller was a bit ridiculous, but Debbie stood by our side and supported us all the way through. As first time home buyers she was helping explain the process the entire time and preparing us for what was going to happen. I'm happy to say we closed on the place we loved in June. Debbie is a fantastic realtor and an outstanding person who clearly has a ton of passion for what she does. She cares about her clients and fully supports them, and she doesn't give up. Our journey spanned over two years and I'm sure we weren't the easiest to work with, yet she stuck with us the whole way.

As first time home buyers we were very new to the process. While getting a tour of some apartments we stumbled upon Debbie and it was the best thing that could have happened to us in this process. From viewing through closing, she was there and available whenever we had a question, issue, or request. I cannot recommend her enough as we could not have purchased our dream home without her. If you are in the market in her area, I would always recommend you start with her. The knowledge and willingness to talk you through the process is second to none!

I am highly impressed and pleased with Deborah's services. My sale was complicated by the fact that I was chronically ill, which led to my unexpected hospitalization three times during the selling process. It is hard to write a sufficiently glowing review or appraisal of Debbie. She is certainly quite special and one-of-a-kind. I have never met a realtor as nice, professional, thorough, dedicated, detailed and competent as Debbie. Debbie was a godsend. She went above and beyond the call of duty to assist me with all the difficulties, delays and challenges my unique situation imposed. She is a genuinely nice, very truly deeply caring, consistent, professional who does the most she can to assist her clients. Debbie's knowledge of the area and the local market is unsurpassed. Her word is her bond. She is an excellent negotiator and worked extremely well with my attorney and the buyer's realtor to resolve all issues which arose. She was also very responsive via phone, email or text message. I was ill when the time came to deliver the keys to the buyer. Debbie came to the hospital to get the keys from me, arranged for the final removal of my piano from the condo, and arranged for the final cleaning of the unit. The buyers and I were quite pleased with the results. Debbie's level of service is truly exceptional and I heartily recommend her.

Debbie recently helped us find a condo in Jersey City Heights. She's a wealth of knowledge about Jersey City, Union City and Hoboken and the real estate market / trends of the area. This was extremely helpful to two first-time home buyers moving from Queens. She helped us through the entire process.... from finding target neighborhoods, looking at properties, making offers and finally closing on a wonderful home. I happened to stumble upon a building I had interest in with no appointment set up. I walked into the lobby and asked if there was any open houses that day by chance (it was a Sunday, so I figured there had to be). The doorman gave me Debbie as a reference and she met me that same day to show me a few apartments. Deborah was not only lightning quick to respond to a random request from me to see apartments, but from the beginning she respected my honest opinions of the apartments I was being shown. At no time did she ever try to peer pressure me into any apartment or rush me into making any decisions. On the contrary, I scheduled several (and by several I should probably say A LOT) of follow up meetings to see a bunch of different apartments and she was always quick to respond and helpful. When I finally found the apartment I wanted to buy, Deborah was closely involved with the ENTIRE process from beginning to end. Without her attention to detail and passion for her work, I'm pretty sure I would not have gotten this apartment. All in all, I am SOO glad I had the chance to run into her the way I did that one Sunday. I would HIGHLY recommend anyone who is interested in buying an apartment to go through Deborah. She even helped my parents get a similar apartment, in which she was also just as amazing.
