Hurricane Katrina bumped me from a thirty-year perch in New Orleans, Louisiana, sending me first to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where I began my Spanish affair taking the superb course of Fluenz. Seeking a Spanish-speaking locale to get closer to Spanish, I then headed to Panama City, Panama, where I took my first live classes. And, shortly thereafter, I took the plunge way down south for more extensive course work in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where the first volume of ihablo Spanish ¿Cómo se dice? was written.
