Poor Management
Accountant (Former Employee) - Milwaukee, WI - March 23, 2024
Indeed Featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedGreat company with good benefits and inspiring mission. Unfortunately, had to leave because of a poor manager who was never held accountable. Would recommend if applying for another department.

People are really nice. The work itself is not bad but also not that interesting. Pretty organized company and lots of communication better departments.

Global Professional Instructor (Former Employee) - Milwaukee, WI 53224 - September 21, 2023
As a GPI, I learned a tremendous amount and had the support of my direct manager and the staff at corporate in MKE. I spent five years there to move onto another field I had always wanted to do.

Productive and Fun Workplace
CISO (Former Employee) - Milwaukee, WI - April 1, 2023
Working at CPI as a workplace that values fun and productivity while also prioritizing crisis prevention training creates an environment that not only supports personal growth and development but also ensures the safety and wellbeing of its employees.

You can learn a lot and grow here, especially if you know how to manage up and aren’t afraid to tell C-Suite what you think.
None of Your Business (Former Employee) - Milwaukee, WI - March 21, 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? You’re part of something that’s doing a lot of good and keeping people safe. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Pressure to keep outperforming past financial successes. Knowing how to market, sell and support based on the value, because the offerings keep getting more and more expensive.

Flexible and Fun Workplace w/Employee Appreciation Events
Marketing Lead (Current Employee) - Milwaukee, WI - April 12, 2022
CPI offers a flexible working environment (remote/in-office), modern interior, open concept w/all standing desks facing windows, workout center, hiking trail around lake, and much more! Every month a department is in charge of doing something fun for all employees. (Ex: Pumpkin carving content, employee Oktoberfest, Zoo day, lunches, snacks, etc.) Everyone is welcoming and driven towards CPI's mission! Managers give employees the opportunity to excel. (additional education budget) Hardest: Company is growing and paving the way for the industry. Always a need for staying on top of technology & industry trends. Enjoyable: The culture, people, the mission!
Pros
Fun Days, Flexible Work Schedule, Events, Free Food, Team Building, The Culture, Bonus
Cons
Growing Pains

CPI has such a wonderful mission and vision and their culture is very engaged and welcoming. It is a place full of caring and dedicated people
eLearning Developer (Former Employee) - Milwaukee, WI - January 12, 2022
A great organization with a worthwhile purpose. It has some rather arbitrary policies regarding what is considered remote work stemming from stale and outdated management philosophies.
Pros
Great work culture
Cons
Short sighted upper management

A passionate work environment that got transformed by overly corporate managers
Marketing (Former Employee) - Milwaukee, WI - April 1, 2021
CPI was an incredible place to work when I was hired. The people, the mission, the culture, everything clicked. It has changed significantly in the last few years. Management makes it clear that it is money, and not the people we serve, at the core of CPI's business model now. That corporate business model has subsumed almost all of what the company once was.
Pros
Good coworkers
Cons
Management that only cares about profits

Good
Sales Associate (Former Employee) - Milwaukee, WI - January 21, 2021
Wages are slightly under industry average, but the people and the culture make up for it. The day to day tasks are challenging, but achievable. Benefits are decent, not the greatest but not bad either.

Relatively easy job that lets you travel
Global Professional Instructor (Former Employee) - Milwaukee, WI - February 23, 2020
I loved the work and the participants. The company itself is not transparent. The pay/benefits for the work is not on par with the industry and the support from the home office is questionable. I met some wonderful people and miss training full time. If you enjoy working on the road full time and interacting with a wide variety of folks from a variety of backgrounds this might be for you.

Great Mission
Instructional Designer (Former Employee) - Milwaukee, WI - December 22, 2018
Great mission and vision for this company. Depending on where you are in the company, it could be a great place to work. We had some flexibility to work from home if needed. Location is nice - there is a walking path and a pond in the back.
