Sr. Buyer (Former Employee) - Orlando, FL - December 6, 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? Military buying was very satisfying and most employees were former military people. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Getting everything done in a timely manner. But it was a great place to work What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Friendly environment but still professional What is a typical day like for you at the company? Talking to many army facilities across the country and making sure they have what they have requested.

Evergreen Capability Global Lead (Former Employee) - Falls Church, VA - February 27, 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? Great work-from-home company since everyone in my division was home-based. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Clients demands sometimes were stressful. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? All home-based and the culture was derived from that environment.

Poor project management, bad resource management
Senior Business Analyst (Former Employee) - Seattle, WA - October 3, 2022
Low pay, no pay raise. 2 increases in 10 years, a 5% pay cut in 2009. Less than 1% increase in the flowing 12 years. An IT sweatshop. I would recommend not working at this company as a whole.

It was a good company to work at Cape Kennedy
Installation Technician (Former Employee) - Cape Canaveral, FL - April 19, 2022
I work installing equipment for a government job. It was hard work with no air condition. Eventually, the A/C was installed and the job became much easier.
Pros
Pizza at the end of the project.
Cons
Too far to drive.

Verbal abuse from customers and lies from management
Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) - Nashville, TN - April 15, 2022
I worked in the call center for life insurance plans. CSC has recently taken over customer service for a few Life Insurance companies and there were multiple issues with the transfer of data, causing customers to call in irate and swearing and yelling. This occurred multiple times a day. Separately, but noteworthy, I was told I had to work in the call center for a year before I could transfer to a different department within the company. Once I finally did transfer, I learned that wasn't true. Additionally CSC caps the raises you can get, so even though I transferred to a position that would have much higher pay than the call center, I got paid like a customer service rep.

Great people to work with
Americas Account Manager when I left, (Former Employee) - Remote - September 20, 2021
Enjoyed working with the people and clients on a daily basis. CSC Management tend to think about them and not what you do. Most employees went over 7 years with no increase in pay or even incentives. Management has changed since I decided to leave so maybe it has become a much better place to work. You are expected to pretty much work 10% more than your 40 hours work week even thought it is not spelled out. Management a lot of the time do not back you up, then tend to take the Client side for the sake of the contract

Productive, Caring, Team Orientated and Fun work place.
Electronics Maintenance Technician (Former Employee) - Camp Casey, South Korea - Ft Lee, VA - Schofield Barracks, HI - August 23, 2021
On a typical day we work as a team and cross train as a team. We keep busy to and enjoy working and learning with each other from different departments to get the job done. On a few occasions employees had personal issues and the HR department and Management Team came together and help solved the issue. These different issues is what kept me working at CSC for over 10 years.
Pros
Team Orientated Work Place
Cons
CSC lost the contract so job avalibility was limited.

Sweat shop
Team Lead (Former Employee) - Raleigh, NC - June 1, 2021
tied to the phone but no support to help answer difficult questions. Yelled at by clinical personnel often. Support is the operable word of what is missing for the front line agents. Turnover suffers for that reason.

Never really paid enough.
UNIX Systems Administrator (Former Employee) - Albany, NY - May 8, 2021
I was at least 25% under paid when I left after almost 10 years. I truly loved working there but just couldn’t afford to work there after a while anymore. Left a lot of good people and many accomplishments! Very sad.
Pros
Opportunity to learn new skills and apply them at soE point.
Cons
Pay rate was at least 25% below the national average.

Very little free time, constant OT for projects
Professional Systems Engineer - UTC Account (Former Employee) - East Hartford, CT - December 16, 2020
Beyond under-staffed and no compensation for the extra hours worked, we worked every weekend for the better part of the two years I was there. Turnover is not a concern to the management whatsoever.Flexible hours
Pros
Flexible hours but far too many
Cons
Way too few staff to handle the work load effectively.

management is a complete joke and do little to nothing to help those succeed who are doing their jobs for them
Senior Help Desk Analyst (Former Employee) - Long Beach, CA - October 7, 2020
Initial advancement opportunities were there to get into the functional "senior" type roles. In these roles, you are typically doing the managers job due to their lack of knowledge, unwillingness to do their job, or a combination of both. Once in those roles, good luck getting out. Management threatens to stop advancement opportunities and while maybe not all, or even most, my manager was a racist.
Pros
close commute
Cons
management has no clue how to manager or help employees be successful

Great team work and great management.
SERVER / NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR (Former Employee) - San Diego, CA - August 12, 2020
I enjoyed working at CSC (as contractor) because we all were a team with the same goal in mind. Managers and supervisors helped me to succeed in my job.
Pros
Great team work
Cons
It was only a temporary job

Senior Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) - Jacksonville, IL - August 2, 2020
Same pay for 4 years. No opportunity to move up when they just constantly hire temps to do the job you earn. Management wasn’t terrible but some focused on ridiculous things instead of the root of the problem.

Great for the inexperienced
Technical Support Specialist (Former Employee) - Newark, DE - July 26, 2020
This rating is for a position I held with CSC in the early 2000s - the company may have changed/improved since.
My position was technical support for DuPont corporation.
There were individuals who worked near me who either were on constant personal calls or surfing inappropriate websites - I ended up picking up the slack on a constant basis, while being unappreciated by the supervisor.
The pros - if you are new to tech positions, you can learn a lot (but not because you are trained, but because you figure it out along the way).
The interview I had was amusing as well, as those who were interviewing me were leaned back in their chairs, and seemed to be in a partial coma state.
Overall - it was a job, but it was also sadly a joke too.
Pros
learning tech (though not via training but due to trial & error).
Cons
management - co-workers - and lack of appreciation for those who actually work during their shift.

They closed
Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) - Irving - July 6, 2020
They closed the company down, but I enjoyed working for them. The call center setting, the co workers, & my supervisors made me look forward to going to work everyday.

I feel a company or team is only its people who make that company.

The overall is positive and meaningful. Culture and environment had been cooperative and resources support the leaders to stay on the course of major activities.

Cons
Need examples

Cons

Contract
Senior Associate/Audio Visual (Former Employee) - Fort Lee, VA - April 7, 2020
Don't know if they will keep you on when contract time comes and also doesn't let you know until last minute. Fix things that other people had no business touching
