I tried it for candles. For 1 bottle I used 1.5 lbs of soy wax. I didn't over heat it or anything but the smell really isn't strong at all. Barely there. As for an oil on half oz. size at $5 after s&h I don't think it's worth it. It might smell ok with just 1 lb. I usually try to get my scents cost at no more than 3$ per pound of wax. The smell is lovely I'm sure for other purposes. Sooo, update. I burned a small candle and it smelled horrible and the scent changes after the heat. I sent an email to seller abc they told me you have to add additives to make it better. I don't know never heard that one. I use a 464 soy wax and believe me it's not the wax as the issue. I don't understand how anyone says it works for candles especially the user who said just takes a few drops. I don't get it. But it stinks like petroleum once burning. Even after it cooled the scent changed. I just wasted 15$ and 2 lbs of wax and a bunch of time to do and undo these candles. The retailers don't seem to understand my concern. I told them I'm using soy after they said it might be my wax. Then said I need to use additives. I am honestly extremely unhappy. P and J is waay better !!! Same with candlescience. Don't waste your money here
Wow. Update. Burned one candle and it totally stinks. This is not meant for burning how can they say it is? It broke down to smell like petroleum. Not happy :/
