On holiday in Brisbane for my wife's birthday.
Did a bit of research before booking at Blackbird.
Things I wanted were ; view of the river and the beautiful Storey Bridge .tick.Nice bar to chill in before the meal. tick. Great rep for steak for my brother in law . tick.
We got all the above in spades and the best service you could expect...
I thoroughly recommend and will be back next time we traverse the Tasman from the really lucky country.

Having high expectations about a place and then wondering why the cost of eating here is so expensive is very disappointing. The location of the venue and the venue itself is really nice. The service was good although not outstanding and unfortunately the whole experience was far from deserving the cost of the bill for 3 people. My friends and I eat out often, unfortunately we won't be returning to blackbirds for food, very few gluten free options on desert, unfortunately it's not just a food fad for me, I'm genuinely intolerant and in this day in age of so many suffering food allergies, you need to be on top of your game and be innovative, something this place lacks.

Everything was so fantastic, the booking process, food, service, all the new memories we made as we ate and drank from midday to midnight! Great value and totally delicious share plate set menu. Highly recommend especially for large groups!

The adjacent Bar to the Grill Room for our pre and after dinner drinks was packed with happy young poeple.
We celebrated a pre wedding dinner and were impressed by the excellent service, atmosphere and the various grill items and wine selection . First time in Brisbane and this was the best experience we had till now.

Visited Australia back in 2014 and had the best meal I had ever eaten in this restaurant. When back in August 2016 we insisted in coming back. I have to say it was the most disappointing meal I have ever had. The standard had fallen so far I resented paying the bill. Went from 10/10 to 4/10 in 18 months.
