I received a check from my presettlement lawsuit funder, from my case against big pharma giant, Johnson & Johnson where I had cancer from their talcum powder, and Wal Mart declined to cash my check because this Certegy declined it and I've never even heard of this company, will I not be able to get my check cashed at all, or is Certegy a scam.. Any suggestions would help..

They are so bad. The long drawn out robot that can't hear anything and just ends up saying, "Sorry I can't help you, call back at another time." I went to Walmart to cash a check which I have not had to do in years, but it was declined for no reason by this trash comp.

They have a faulty service algorithm that is not correctly identifying checks thus improperly declining good business checks causing undue hardship to the person who has to pay more by using someone else to cash a perfectly good check. They are not equipping the floor representatives with enough information to understand the decline in a logical and comprehensive way at the time of the transaction. They appear to be more in the business of giving a person the run around versus ethical professionalism. They should give a person the right to speak to a US representative versus an overseas person and at the time of the transaction decline not several hours later after the fact.

Absolutely garbage customer service. They have the most long winded, drawn out recorded voice and instructions that can barely comprehend what's being said. They have vague and unhelpful answers and just getting to those useless answers is way more trouble than it's worth. Getting an actual CS rep was not possible, so I am left with no answers.

Certegy suggested that my check at Kohl’s not be accepted FOR NO REASON. Upon calling certegy’s phone number to find out why, I had to provide my Soc sec #, routing #, account # in order to find out their reason… To no avail. I have had serious ID theft in past years & I'm worried it has happened again: so I must find out specific reasons for the refusal. There are no details ever provided and I’m still panicking thinking someone has my private information cashing bad checks AND NOW Certegy has my info and I’m unsure whether they’re for real themselves. How can this be allowed??? I repeat, I had plenty of money in my account, have never bounced a check…so why???

No good reason to refuse a paycheck other than 20 reasons it might be. Call them is a waste of time in a phone tree. They will not allow you to talk to a real person. Creates bad attitudes between store and customers. I WOULDN'T RECOMEND TO ANY STORE OR CUSTOMER. PLEASE SHY AWAY FROM DISCOURSE BETWEEN YOU AND YOUR CUSTOMER BASE.

They claimed a check I wrote to TJMaxx was not paid and I was denied writing checks at other stores because they lied. My check did clear and they could provide me zero proof it didn't while I provide proof it did. This company is the worst and I will never buy anything from any retailer who uses them!

I am a widowed mother of a 13 daughter and I own my own small business. Therefore sometimes people pay me with checks. I have cashed hundreds through Certegy and then a customer gave me a bad check and I of course didn't know it was Bad so I took it to the Western Union at my local Krogers as I always do and they cashed it. Fast forward a week and said check bounces and certegy puts it under investigation I comply by giving customer's name and number and any other information they needed as well. Certegy apologized about my current no cash any check ban but assured me in less than 30 days they would complete and resolve this issue for me.

Yesterday I made a quick stop by Dollar General for a Dollar General gift card, birthday card, and some laundry supplies. After I wrote a personal check, the cashier informed me it was declined. I was shocked because I have never written a bad check to Dollar general and I knew the funds were there. I paid for the purchase with my debit card with no problems! I do not want to give this company all my personal info to get an explanation that will probably still end up being unclear.

Went into Lowe’s to buy a chain saw. My check was declined. Call Certegy and got a ** answer why my co check was declined and in 40 year I never bounce a check. This co is bogus. Company should be shut down. Have no idea what they are doing.
