Casey was very genuine and nice young man who always had a smile on his face.
I feel very lucky and glad that he crossed my path ever so briefly.
Peace to all of those who loved him and whom he loved in your hour of sadness.

Casey and I had HUM 414 together over the summer. We were united by our mutual love of dogs and being the only two science majors in the classroom. I was always struck by how unbelievably positive and kind he seemed, even at 10 in the morning. I recently went through our texts and emails, and his kindness shone through even in those. He will be missed.

I had a humanities class with Casey and he was unbelievably intelligent with an incredible sense of humor. His presence made the area around him feel comfortable and inviting. So sad to hear of his passing and my heart goes out to his friends and family :(

My prayers and heart are with your family and friends as we all grieve the loss of this smile. The UNCA community will miss him.
