NHSP Respond to Crashes, DWI Incidents: Roundup

CONCORD, NH — On Feb. 17, 2017, New Hampshire State Police and other emergency services were sent to southbound side of Route 16 for a report of a rollover crash in Rochester. The preliminary investigation revealed that the pickup truck went off the right side of the road and overturned. The driver – the only occupant – was seriously injured and medflighted to the Maine Medical Center. The case remains under investigation, according to state police.

State police were also sent to a school bus-SUV crash on Feb. 16, on Route 123 in Marlow. According to an investigation, a teen driver from Greenfield traveling west reportedly lost control of his vehicle and collided with the bus. Weather and speed were determined to be factors but no charges were filed at post time.

Joshua Parda, 32, pictured, of Ashuelot, was arrested at 11 a.m. on Feb. 15, on threat charges after allegedly threatening to harm members of the Hinsdale Police Department. He was held and arraigned in Keene District Court on Feb. 16. No other information about the case was released to the public.

State troopers were also sent to a crash on Route 9 in Chesterfield on Feb. 14, between a Ford F-150, being driven by a Vermont man, and a Chevrolet Equinox, being operated by a Vermont woman. The Equinox then crossed into the westbound travel lane and collided head-on with a Volkswagen, being driven by a Keene woman. All three drivers were transported to the hospital for treatment.

Thomas Scammon, 51, of Raymond, was arrested at 4 p.m. on Jan. 30, 2017, for driving after revocation or suspension and suspension of vehicle registration. He was arrested on Freetown Road in Raymond.

Cameron Veal, 28, of Rochester, was arrested at 3:30 p.m. on Jan. 30, 2017, for speeding – 11-15 mph over 55 – operating without a valid license, and unsafe lane change. He was arrested on Route 16 in Newington near Exit 3.

Nolan Doyle, 23, of Newburyport, MA, was arrested at 3:28 a.m. on Jan. 28, 2017, for DUI, on I-95 South in Hampton.

Shoghy Ngoy, 21, of Lewiston, ME, was arrested at 5 p.m. on Jan. 28, 2017, for DUI, on I-95 South in Hampton.

Nathan Myers, 24, of Ogunquit, ME, was arrested at 2:08 a.m. on Jan. 28, 2017, for DUI, DUI greater than 0.08, and open container, on Route 16 North in Dover.

Brian Vaz, 41, of Dedham, MA, was arrested at 1:43 a.m. on Jan. 28, 2017, for DUI, on I-95 South in Hampton.

Katie Linehan, 35, of Sanford, ME, was arrested at 10:48 p.m. on Jan. 27, 2017, for DUI, DUI-second or third, and driving after revocation or suspension. She was arrested on I-95 South in Greenland.

Charles Hayes, 29, of Portsmouth, was arrested at 10:15 p.m. on Jan. 27, 2017, for possession of a controlled drug-marijuana, on Route 16 South in Newington.
