Bradley Arant Rose & White Ranked as Top U.S. Law Firm In Percentage of Attorneys Listed in ``The Best Lawyers in America''

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.--()--Dec. 22, 2004--

Fifty-Seven Bradley Arant Attorneys Selected for 2005-2006 Edition

National coaches polls and Bowl Championship Series computers may have snubbed Auburn's outstanding football team this season, but there's no denying another team from Alabama in a prestigious national ranking. The Birmingham-based law firm of Bradley Arant Rose & White LLP ranks first in the nation in the percentage of its attorneys selected by other attorneys across the land for inclusion in "The Best Lawyers in America(R), 2005-2006 edition."

Of Bradley Arant's 207 attorneys (at the time of the ranking), 27.5 percent - or more than one out of every four - were chosen for what Corporate Counsel magazine has called "the most respected referral list of attorneys in practice." That's the highest percentage of any firm on the National Law Journal's(a) current list of America's 250 largest law firms. The 57 Bradley Arant lawyers named to the list include 48 attorneys from the firm's Birmingham office, three from its Huntsville office, two from its Montgomery office, and four from its Jackson, Mississippi office.

Published every two years by Woodward/White, Inc. of Aiken, South Carolina, "The Best Lawyers in America" is now in its eleventh edition and the competition for inclusion has never been so intense. For the current edition, officially published this week, 16,000 attorneys across the nation cast more than half a million votes - a new record - in an exhaustive peer-review survey. Their task was to judge the legal abilities of other lawyers in their own specialties, in order to select those for this singular honor.

"Bradley Arant is extremely honored by this recognition," said Beau Grenier, Chairman of Bradley Arant's Executive Committee, and one of the attorneys named to the 'Best Lawyers' list. "It's very gratifying to see 57 Bradley Arant attorneys - or nearly half the partners in our firm - singled out by their peers in this way. We are especially grateful to our clients for the opportunities and challenges of doing work on their behalf. Bradley Arant remains dedicated to consistently raising the level of service to our clients and building on the professional achievements of our lawyers. This recognition by "The Best Lawyers in America" affirms our commitment to continually raising the bar - not just in Alabama and the Southeast, but nationally as well."
