Pros

Cons
I retired at the end of the year and was told that I would get my profit share. The person who administers the profit-sharing is also responsible for administering staff who are retiring. I told GEICO, the parent of BoatUS, that I was retiring on December 31st and would I still be entitled to my bonus. I was told in writing that I would be. Normally you have to be on the company payroll in February when the profit share is paid but an exemption is made if you are retiring, as I was. Profit share is split into two parts. Ten percent is paid into the employees 401K and the remainder is in the form of a cash payout. GEICO paid me the ten percent but never paid me the cash portion. You are either eligible for the profit share or you are not. I have never gotten an answer as to why I was paid the ten percent but not the other ninety percent even though I was told that I was eligible for it.

Pros
Great coworkers who become friends. Excellent benefits package as a GEICO associate. Relatively low stress. Fun boating activities / industry perks.
Cons
Poorly qualified upper management have cushy jobs and high salaries (solely based on tenure). Absolutely no vision or roadmap for the GEICO merger. Associate turnover is high.

Pros
a lot of money in bonus and ot is always available, Our new manager actually knows what it is like to be us and leople we’re listening to us which never happened in years. Nice to feel like your opinion counts for a change, then something happens is much better than befofe
Cons
Most of supervisors group is okay they means well..Them and manager will make or break you while Upper Management does not give you time of day anymore. I don’t know who tammy is except for her emoji lol she cares about image but not staff. Dont get attached to coworkers they will probably leave you just look out for yourself and your own opportunity and know when it’s time for the next thing
