Billy Ray Clark of Odessa, MO formerly of Denison entered into rest on Oct. 21, 2013 at his home in Odessa at the age of 75.
Bill was born to William and Retha (Dale) Clark on Oct. 4, 1938 in Hatfield, MO and the family later moved to Dunlap, IA where Bill attended country school, and later moved again to Denison where he continued his education in Denison Community school.
In 1955 Billy joined the Air Force. He served his country for four years stationed mostly in Missouri. While there Billy met and married Dolores Carver and was blessed with a step son Mike.
Billy worked for Target Manufacturing in Kansas City, MO for many years until his retirement. Billy’s wife Dolores, passed away from cancer and then he eventually met and married Carolyn Butler and was blessed with four more step sons, Brad, Brett, Brian and Bruce. He had many grandchildren of whom he adored.
Billy was preceded in death by both Dolores and Carolyn, two sons Mike and Bruce, his parents, two sisters Opal Blume and Betty Wilson and a brother, Jimmy Clark.
Those left to cherish his memory are three sons, Brad, Brian and Brett, and their families all from Missouri, a daughter-in-law Iris (Mike’s wife) from Texas, four sisters Pat Vaughn, Sandy Sorenson (Cork) Linda Dohse (Terry) Lynette Bohlin (Mike), a sister in law Pat Clark and many nieces and nephews, mostly from surrounding Denison area.
A memorial service is being planned at Lutheran Church in Kansas City, MO with buriel in a Moselium in Sun Cemetery near the Lake of the Ozarks where Billy loved to visit at the home of his in-laws.
A Celebration of Life picnic is also planned in Billy’s honor next spring in Denison.
