Billfloat, Inc. Billfloat.com awful stupid odd lazy incompetent Internet

What a company. I used them to pay a small bill, around $100.00, which they did with no problem. However, trying to pay them back was a whole different story. I tried no less than twelve times to get them to accept my payment and they just refused to do it for reasons unclear to me. They were supposed to debit my checking account (funds sufficient, good standing) and they failed to do that. then I tried to resove the situation to no avail. I finally tried to pay by phone with a CC or by mail with a check or MO but they told me they couldn't do that either. I wasted hours on the phone with their CSRs who did nothing whatsoever to resolve my issue. Not only didn't they help at all, but they also kept carpet-bombing me with "overdue payment" notices ever few hours via email.

After my twelfth attempt I just gave up. Then, excatly thirty-one days later I get an obnoxious phone call from some shifty collection agency. Some woman is giving me attitude about "not paying my bills" and she's demanding a debit card-only payment right then and there. I tell her I tried numerous times to pay this bill, she gives me a bunch of snotty sass. I tell her there's NO WAY I'm giving her my bank card number but I will pay online with a CC or by mail if they give me an address. She does neither. I tell her to sod off and I hang up.

So then shortly thereafter there's a delinquency on my credit report over this nonsense. What, I am obligated to chase a company to the four corners of the globe to pay them back? I spent eight lunch breaks over the course of two work weeks with my phone stuck to my ear, on hold with these nitwits, trying to get them to take my damned 100 bucks already and they flat-out refused to do it for some inexplicable reason. Sorry there Billfloat but I can't try any harder than that to pay you back, my conscience is clean. Too bad my credit report isn't though, thanks to your total incompetence. I'm kind of surprised to see you're even still around, as companies incapable of accepting their client's payments tend not to do that well in general.
