Great people to work with have your back
Driver (Former Employee) - Driver porter parties - September 15, 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? The people who where in charge work with me at the time I needed them to pull though. Unfortunate events happen to me when I had to resign to take care of my kids myself. But over one of the best companies I’ve worked for by far. Thanks to the time who made it possible when I had hard times. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Driving on the up & down the Dalton highway was stressful & exciting at the same time. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Open & they tried their best for the needs to get the job done. What is a typical day like for you at the company? Wake up drive to a pump station clean out the Porta parties, then go down the line. Not too bad of a day.

Great benefits, poor management
Desktop Analyst II (Former Employee) - Anchorage, AK - July 15, 2023
Great benefits and pay but management changes led to a lot of turnover and they lost most of their established IT department. Would look at returning if management issues fixed.

Energetic and efficient workplace
Roustabout Hand (Former Employee) - Prudhoe Bay, AK - July 12, 2023
ASRC is a fast paced, energetic corporation to grow in. The global support including government and military contracting is second to none. I am proud to be a part of their legacy.
Pros
Salaried careers and advancement opportunities
Cons
Overtime and holiday pay

Legal Analyst (Former Employee) - Washington, DC - May 17, 2023
Worked here as a contractor for several years. They were fair and this job positioned me for the next step in my career. The pay was competitive in the beginning, but I eventfully hit a ceiling. Always had great experiences with management.

you work in cramped cubicles filled with boxes.
Records Management Specialist (Former Employee) - Denver, CO - May 9, 2023
There is no teamwork, as people separate themselves by popularity. There is a fear of upsetting upper management. They are required to promote from with, but only promote people who they like.
Pros
You work independent at your own pace.
Cons
Difficult to get assistance with projects.

There is no management team to lead you're pretty much left to your own devices and do not say anything about management or they'll come back on you
Head Chef (Current Employee) - Clear, AK - February 4, 2023

Job Security
Truck Driver Class A (Former Employee) - Alpine, AK - August 14, 2022
Your job is never secure, question anything and bam you find yourself laidoff. Drinking the ASRC kool-aid is highly recommended. Don’t forget throat lozenges and Vaseline if you plan to stay for an extended time.
Pros
Leaving to go home
Cons
Everything

Fast growing, great opportunities
Manager (Current Employee) - Arizona - July 11, 2022
This company is growing in many areas. Managers seem very engaged in improving various areas. Although things don't appear to be perfect, everyone I have worked with so far seems committed to working together to enhance/fix processes.
Pros
Great leadership, great PTO
Cons
Very large, diversified company where everything doesn't yet fit together perfectly. Room for improvement, but not bad.

Productive company, great people
Cashier/Cook (Former Employee) - Fairbanks, AK - June 1, 2022
Great people to work with , strong values, respectful and attentive to needs. There is a strong culture of respoect, and even though they sell fuel, they go overboard to clean up any customer spill or enviromental issue and don't sweep things under the rug like other companys do.
Pros
Free lunches
Cons
not a lot of subs, so when you are able lots of overtime

ASRC does not do a great job of placing and supporting current employee if a contract ends.
Contractor (Former Employee) - Beltsville, MD - March 4, 2022
ASRC doesn't work with you to find another position within the company if your contract is not renewed. They treat you like anyone coming off the street and not a respected member of the company if they lose a contract and placing you in another position. Management is also an issue when it comes to supporting you and your efforts. I would not work for this company again.

Great place to work and to learn different types of jobs.
Asrc. (Former Employee) - North Slope, AK - May 26, 2021
It’s sad but management will say one thing but will do another thing. And in the event that you have an Incident you will be fighting to keep your job although they say your not. The THA you use they say is to help you but can be held against you if for Instance you have an incident any certain box was not marked. It’s in your favor if the managers really like you because there is a good old boy system there. And I am in no why in any form downing the company because they our a great place to work I spent well over 18 hrs with them.
Pros
Transferring within departments and learning different fields.
Cons
Will keep a share holder over a seasons hand.

Pros
everything at work is free, tons of overtime
Cons
flying when working from out of state

Great place to be.
Construction Manager (Current Employee) - Anchorage, AK - October 21, 2020
Solid place to work. My supervisor was always willing to be a problem solver. The open communication was the best i have worked with. Any major issue would be discussed all the way up the chain.
