    About the Business

A grand old home set in the center of scenic New Hampshire, The Henry Whipple House was constructed in 1904. The house is typical of the Victorian era which can be seen in the architecture, oak woodwork, hardwood floors, chandeliers and stained glass windows which all add to the charm of this painted lady. The five main house chambers and three carriage house suites have been decorated and furnished in a relaxed but elegant style with luxury linens, antiques, art and several bronze engraved fireplaces. Available on a year-round basis, our professional establishment provides all private bathrooms with Gilchrist and Soames amenities and luxurious 100% Egyptian cotton towels. Also included are free wireless internet access, flat-screen TVs with cable, air conditioning, guest refrigerator with complimentary soda, tea and coffee making facilities, afternoon treats and a water cooler. We can easily accommodate 10-14 people in the main house and an additional 16-20 in the carriage house.…

      We had a great stay!

My sister recently moved to this area and she suggested the HW House. The rainbow flag out front was welcoming, even if the rest of the area was not.

We were greeted by the proprietor, Sandra, who was lovely and helpful in getting us checked in. We booked a room in the carriage house which is behind the main house, which turned out to be a good move because it was very quiet and private. The bed was unusually comfortable, the shower was excellent, and the owner left us with everything we might possibly need. A great place to stay, we highly recommend it.

This is probably the best B&B I have ever stayed at. The rooms are beautifully decorated and clean. Everything is well attended to and is pristine.
Sandra, the owner is a wonderful "chef" although she refers to herself as a cook. The daily menu was challenging because it was hard to choose what delicious meal to order. Fabulous. If that wasn't enough, Sandra is a delightful, fun person. As far as being helpful, she even lent my husband a tie when he forgot his. If you are in need of a place to stay in Bristol, do yourself a favor and visit The Henry Whipple House.

We stayed in one of the economy lodges in the back. Spacious and cozy. We had a great time! The hosts were very friendly and left us alone to do our thing. There was complimentary coffee and tea during our entire stay, along with a full kitchen for us to do our own cooking. A great place to stay!
