This is such a beautiful police department!
There were officers volunteering their time today, at the Food and Gift Festival, to make each child an official "police officer" providing them with police badge stickers and color changing pencils -so sweet! I love those who protect and serve us! - 131253445/31/2023Updated review
I am going to copy paste my review on Google from a year ago. It has received 19 thumbs up so far.
Quite recently, Â I witnessed two police officers in their cruisers (heading South)sitting side by side at the intersection of Tudor and Elmore Roads. Suddenly, and right in front of them, a vehicle heading west ran a solid red light. Silly me, I thought for sure at least one of the police officers would go after him. It was a clear shot with ZERO traffic. But no, both police officers did absolutely nothing. Apparently they were off shift heading back to the station. So, the motto "To Protect and Serve" applies only while a police officer is on duty. Interesting.
P.S. Still dealing with awful neighbors at Midlands Condominiums. After 3 separate calls to police regarding loud hot tub parties by a certain individual whose portrayal and "example" of military personnel is deplorable to say the least, all we can do now is endure the noise which lasts into the morning hours up to 7 a.m. Why? Apparently our complaints are put last on the list, if at all. Look, we don't want to bother you rookies at all either because we know, as you claim, you have "far better things to do." Â However, we could do without the snark, especially after having had to endure inconsiderate neighbors for such a long time.2/16/2021Previous reviewBy the way, both officers walked across my beige living room carpeting with their big wet boots on. Nice.
I live within 5 minutes of this police department, yet if one should feel pressed to call them, say- due to a wild and loud hot tub party (that the entire block can hear) at 2 in the morning, for example, the police would most likely take an hour or two to arrive, if at all. Just recently, when my very loud talking, bumping thumping jumping, foot stomping, bowling ball dropping, chair scraping, video game playing neighbor, (who I unfortunately have to share a wall with), called the police because I had once again protested my sleep being interrupted, why, there were officers on my front porch within minutes! Okay! My neighbor apparently loves to call attention to herself. This time, two of them. One of them nice. One of them not so nice. The particularly not so nice officer told me all I can do is video the noise when it happens and call the non-emergency number. (?) No regard whatsoever to the fact that this woman's favorite things to say to me are, (and quite loudly) "I don't care what you think!! I don't care what you do!! Go to hell!! I'm calling the cops!!" This woman has called the police on me once before, to lie to them about me hitting her car, calling it a "hit and run". It has been almost a year, yet I still wonder, why oh why would I take my new Impala LTZ, and hit her crappy, little low end Saturn? I certainly know better. I've been driving for 46 years. She must have imagined the whole thing? Of course, no damage was to be found by the police officer. Â Earlier, after I had left, she pounded on our door to confront my husband by yelling at him. He calmly asked to see her car. She then rushed to quickly have her garage door closed, so that he couldn't see it. Proof positive that she flat out lied to a police officer.
Here is what I would really like to know. How is it that this person can lie to the police, not to mention cause the police to waste their time by coming to our door, only to have to listen to how this woman has been abusive for at least 5 years now, and still do nothing about it? I did some research. I found out that such actions (lying to the police and/or wasting their time) are considered to be a misdemeanor and liable for a fine, and possibly jail time. Yet we, two senior citizens, homeowners, law abiding and tax paying, have to continue to endure the abuse by not having our right to quiet enjoyment in our own home, during the day and while we sleep. Such unnecessary nonsense, due to tenants who have no clue of common courtesy, and care only about themselves.
"Protect and Serve." The motto comes with limits, quite obviously. - 164624805/30/2023Updated review
Unruly neighbors for 9 months.
Calls to code. Nothing.
Letters ti representatives. Nothing.
Police show up and suggest that those of us who call a lot are usually the problem.
Neighbor assaulted neighbor. Nothing.
Fire dept Majes then put out the huge bonfire.
Multi weekly calls to the police.
One 50$ ticket in 9 months.
Police are worthless.11/11/2022Previous reviewDispatch is unresponsive and unempathetic

The police are fucking worthless.
They serve themselves and the union
It is obvious why they are under the gun

The only good review here is for how pretty the p d is. Â Â Seriously?

The poor excuse of a department wrongfully arrested some for an OUI when they weren't even in or near their car. The person was standing outside waiting for a ride when they responded to a call. They approached the person minutes before me. When I arrived the responding officers had flat out to me the person had not been in the car at all when they arrived, nor was there evidence they ever had been, and told them they were waiting for a ride. They assured me they'd finish talking to them and then I could take them home. Instead they arrested the person for an OUI. When asked why they were arresting someone that hadn't even been near the car they said they were arresting the person for intent and "take it up with your lawyers". Apparently they're so desperate to arrest people they'll arrest people for just standing in front of a bar waiting for a ride and call it an OUI.
2/13/2021Previous reviewThe officers here are extremely rude and power hungry! We slid on the ice and our car got stuck in the snow. An officer pulled up and the first thing he said when getting out of the car was "how much have you had to drink?" That's your first response to someone sliding off the road in the winter? We told him we hadn't had any and he went "so how'd you wind up in the snowbank? I'm gonna have to ask you a few questions."
The officer proceeded to issue a sobriety test, which the driver passed. He still insisted the driver was drunk, his main example was he said the driver kept "fidgeting" and was "having trouble talking", when we're both soaking wet and freezing cold from trying to dig our car out. We were shivering and our teeth were chattering and that was somehow the officers big "see, this proves your drunk". I guess only drunk people can be cold according to this officer.
The officer arrested the driver, even after passing every test. He wouldn't do a breathalyzer on scene and said he had to go to jail first. Then he tried giving me a sobriety test! Another officer that responded said I was fine, I didn't need a sobriety test, then the first officer told him to put me in handcuffs and bring me downtown too. The second officer said they had no reason to arrest me and told me I was free to leave. He refused to let me take the car and I had to walk home.
Once I got my car I drove to the jail to pick up my boyfriend and the first officer told them to give me a sobriety test because "she's as drunk as he is." Then he started taunting me about how we could "save space and share a cell together" when they arrest me for drunk driving. The breathalyzer came up zero, no shock there since we hadn't been drinking. The officer kept making comments about "it must be wrong. Do it again. They're both drunk." The officer that issued the breathalyzer said we were both free to go. While the first officer was very angry and started screaming how I wasn't allowed to take my boyfriend and we weren't going anywhere. - Richard W.Albuquerque, NM18637/29/2021
Hi all. Â Just got off the phone with Paul Padgett with the Anchorage Police Dept. after an issue with this business recently-the Alaskan Bush Co. Â He stated it is run by the Hells Angels but there is nothing he can do-why? Â Because I can only assume the APD is on the Hells Angels payroll-naturally. Â Why was I talking to him?Because I was extorted, coerced, threatened with physical bodily harm by their staff after I did not pay KRUNTT fees that were NEVER agreed to by me their alleged "independent" dancers who never disclosed their fees or anything else and attempted to steal my wallet. Â I was coerced with being beaten up IF tried to exit by their security staff without ponying up. Â Naturally, Paul Padgett said their is nothing they can do-why? Â Because-seemingly, they are corrupt as well. This place is a front for a criminal enterprise and is a joint of racketeering and mafia enterprises, etc. DO NOT ENTER if you value your live. You are welcome.

As I was enjoying my McDonalds near the police department... I witnessed a fellow popo drive off while on his phone(in the texting position) I understand there is a need for communication however it should not involve a moving vehicle.
Also, back in 2017, I unwillingly slid through a red light... it was out of my control, the roads were unsafe as is, and I tried my best to slow down as I approached the light, and drove below the speed limit. And I quote "I don't care if your driving in a blizzard, it is your fault you slid through the light" also tried to give me a ticket for using Siri as directional assistance. Not once touching my phone.
2 stars for saying "hope you have a better rest of your day" while correctly giving me a speeding ticket as I ripped past a speed trap. - Heyu B.Honolulu, HI11312/30/2016
Worst police department ever! Â An officer pulled me over during rainy day on Karluk and 6th Avenue; he cited me for failing to stop (4 pts) disregard the fact that it was rainy and unsafe to stop as the light changed. Â He was rude and condescending. Â The department also has riduculous and punitive fees for alarms. Â $50 to register, $125 for each false alarm that goes up $25 after each false alarm call outs. Â What a scamming department! Â The officers don't even have to be US citizens; they just want your money! Â Karluk and 6th is a money making intersection for the department and now they want to put in red light cameras for more of your money. Â Dirty dirty dirty.
