Thanks for the bump man. I have been playing on allstates site with quotes and all. If I tell them my current insurance is with allstate indemnity, they say "thank you for being an allstate customer, please call your local agent to modify coverage". I did check the agent locator and my agent is listed on the regular allstate site.
Yet if I choose another company as my current insurance provider, it lets me continue my quote. If I use the same coverages I have now, I get a 6 month quote of about 7xx.xx dollars for 6 months. I don't remember exactly what it was. I recently got my updated info(bought a new car)from allstate indemnity. They are quoting me 14xx.xx for the same 6 month period, same cars, same coverages. I have a clean driving record for the last 5 years. My fiancee has been in 1 accident and had 1 speeding ticket, I am not entirely sure on the date of the accident, but it was in June of 2000, so it should be off or close to being off.
I just don't see, how if they are the same company, one can be quoting almost double the other. I am gonna have to call and talk to them I guess. I don't really know who to call though. I can't really call my agent. Well I could, but then what do i say? "Hey I got an online quote from allstate for almost half what you quoted me, whats the deal?" I mean if her accident is still on there, what other thing(s) could be so differant as to double my quote?
Wait a minute, I forgot something, the quote I am getting from allstate online is not the same coverages. MY current coverages are the minimums. 12500/25000 Liability, 7500 property damage, 500 deductibles for coll. and comp, and 12500/25000 for uninsured motorist.
The lowest coverages allstate online has is 15000/30000, 10000, same 500 deductibles, and 15000/30000 for the uninsured. So first off I don't see why allstate inemnity can offer lower coverages if they are the same company. And with allstate offer more coverage, the just makes me wonder even more why they are so much cheaper.
