2013 NFL Mock Draft

1. Kansas City - Eric Fisher, OT, Central Michigan
   A tackle has been slated for this pick since January. Fisher gets the nod late, as his natural athleticism and toughness may give him a higher upside.

2. Jacksonville - Luke Joeckel, OT, Texas AM
   Long projected #1, Joeckel falls to #2, but the Jags are happy to swoop him up. He's very polished for a college lineman, and would be a very smart and safe pick for the Jags.

3. Oakland - Sharrif Floyd, DT, Florida
   Trading down makes the most sense for the Raiders, especially if they are targeting Floyd, but they nab him here and try to replenish a defensive line that let a lot of talent leave town.

4. Philadelphia - Lane Johnson, OT, Oklahoma
   Both starting tackles finished the year on IR, and Chip Kelly's offense requires athleticism and mobility. Johnson is the perfect fit.

5. Detroit - Ezekiel Ansah, DE, BYU
   Suh, Fairley, and Ansah could form a nasty front for the Lions.

6. Cleveland - Dion Jordan, DE/OLB, Oregon
   Upgrading the pass rush has been a priority for the Browns this off season, and Jordan would add a real threat off the edge.

7. Arizona - Jonathan Cooper, OG, North Carolina
   The Cardinals have made the OL a priority here, and go for the potentially dominant guard in Cooper with the elite tackles off the board.

8. Buffalo - Ryan Nassib, QB, Syracuse
   Buffalo does not want to risk missing out on Nassib, so they scoop him up a bit early.

9. NY Jets - Barkevious Mingo, OLB, LSU
   The offense needs more of an overhaul, but Rex loves the thought of a playmaker like Mingo attacking opponents off the edge.

10. Tennessee - Dee Milliner, CB, Alabama
    The Titans want to add a physical corner to their secondary, and the draft plays out where the best available falls into their lap.

11. San Diego - DJ Fluker, OT, Alabama
    The best available linemen is the likely route the Chargers go. Fluker could be a pro bowler at RT, but could play inside at guard as well.

12. Miami - Chance Warmack, OG, Alabama
    The offensive line overhaul continues for the Dolphins. They are on the verge of adding Brandon Albert to replace Jake Long, and Warmack comes along to solidify the interior.

13. NY Jets(TB) - Tavon Austin, WR, West Virginia
    The drafts biggest threat offensively will be a welcomed addition to the Jets offense.

14. Carolina - Star Lotulelei, DT, Utah
    Steal of the first round. Lotulelei is a top five talent, and he falls to a team in dire need of interior line help.

15. New Orleans - Jarvis Jones, OLB, Georgia
    Upgrading the pass rush is the quickest way to improve your defense. Jones may not blow anyone away in workouts, but he is a stud on the field.

16. St. Louis - Kenny Vaccaro, S, Texas
    There is a gaping hole at the safety position, and Vaccaro is ready to step in right away and fill it.

17. Pittsburgh - Tyler Eiffert, TE, Notre Dame
    There is some doubt about when Heath Miller will be at full strength, so a big target over the middle is an immediate need. When both are healthy, it gives Big Ben more options in the passing game.

18. Dallas - Sylvester Williams, DT, North Carolina
    Monte Kiffin needs some new life on the interior line for his defense to work.

19. NY Giants - Tank Carradine, DE, Florida st.
    The Giants won't draft solely for need and they are known to draft BPA. Carradine's quick recovery makes him very attractive, and they pull the trigger. He could form a tremendous defensive end duo with Jason Pierre-Paul in no time.

20. Chicago - Manti Te'o, LB, Notre Dame
    The Bears have gotten use to standout play at the MLB position for the last decade plus with Brian Urlacher. They hope Te'o can continue the trend.

21. Cincinnati - Alec Ogletree, LB, Cincinnati
    Ogletree brings speed and versatility to a LB unit in dire need of it. If not for some off the field concerns, he'd be long gone by this point.

22. St. Louis(Was) - Cordarrelle Patterson, WR, Tennessee
    They hoped Tavon Austin would fall to 16, but it didn't happen so they go with the second best playmaker at the WR position. Patterson has more upside because of his size, but he also has more work to do to reach it. Sam Bradford will be happy to have another weapon at his disposal.

23. Minnesota - Justin Hunter, WR, Tennessee
    Adding Greg Jennings helps, but they still need to replace the playmaking ability of Percy Harvin. Hunter isn't as good with the ball in his hands as Harvin, but his ability to get down the field make bring back the occasional Randy Moss memory.

24. Indianapolis - DJ Hayden, CB, Houston
    The Colts would love to add another weapon for Andrew Luck, but with no second rounder, they look to add more talent to the secondary. Hayden has been a late riser and could actually go higher than this when all is said and done.

25. Minnesota(Sea) - Sheldon Richardson, DT, Missouri
    Youth is needed up front, and Richardson would add some much needed penetration ability from his DT position.

26. Green Bay - Jonathan Cyprien, S, Florida International
    The Packers want to get more physical. Adding an aggressive, big hitting safety is a nice start.

27. Houston - Keenan Allen, WR, California
    A lingering knee injury has cast some doubt around Allen's stock, but he'll be healthy by the start of the season. He'd be a great complement and eventual replacement for Andre Johnson in the Texan passing attack.

28. Denver - BJoern Werner, DE, Florida St
    Getting more talent up front and on the edge is a need for the Broncos. Werner isn't a freak athlete, but his all around game and motor will be a boost to the Bronco defense..

29. New England - Xavier Rhodes, CB, Florida St.
    Aqib Talib was only re-signed to a one year deal, so the Patriots could be looking for a long term replacement. The defense was much better once Talib came aboard, bringing his aggressive, physical style to the secondary. Rhodes brings a lot of that same ability. The two could be a great tandem on the outside next year in New England.

30. Atlanta - Jamar Taylor, CB, Boise St.
    The Falcons could look to move up a bit if they value another corner or pass rusher, but Taylor would be a solid pickup this late to add to a secondary that lost Brent Grimes to Miami.

31. San Francisco - Datone Jones, DL, UCLA
    Jones' strength at the point of attack is impressive, and he'd be a great fit in the 9ers physical defense.

32. Baltimore - Robert Woods, WR, USC
    Anquan Boldin was traded to San Francisco, so there is a need for more talent in the receiving corps. Woods isn't as physical as Boldin, but he can work the underneath routes and still provide playmaking ability.
